Something I did real quick to show off a rendering technique for someone.

I ended up getting a lot of pleasant requests asking if I was selling my stickers, so I figured why not open an Etsy store. I've been meaning to for ages so this was a nice kick in the pants. You can check it out at www.etsy.com/shop/StickerPig !

My friend Liz wanted me to make one of my drawings into a sticker, so I colored it and obliged. And now I find making stickers incredibly satisfying. Expect more to come.

Found an old random sketch of Batman/Joker goons I did, back when I was working on Gotham City Impostors at Monolith. Figured I outta color it.

Continuing to mess around with cellshading. This guy sorta reminds me of something from Orc Stain.
I'm also currently horribly addicted to watching the Olympics. Something about watching Olympic Judo while doodling at 2am in the morning is really satisfying.

More random night time robotics. Lately I've been getting a big kick out of drawing while listening/watching Yahtzee Croshaw of Zero Punctuation do a bunch of Let's Play videos to terrible and abusive old adventure games.

Late night doodling. I really gotta break out the cell shading more often. Way way too much fun.

I love me some Turntable.fm. If you haven't heard of it, basically it's a website where you and chums from the internet can hang out in a room and play music from your own library at each other. Tis pretty clever.

Things I Wish I Knew: Rotate Your Damn Page

Things I Wish I Knew When I Started Drawing

Rotate your canvas or page for maximum comfort if you have to make a perfect curve. Do it for the love of god! I used to expect my hand to be able to draw any sort of line or curve perfectly from any angle, and it usually never worked out very well, but I just kept a blind belief that I needed more practice for it to work.

Your arm is physically designed to flow smoothly in certain motions, and not so smoothly in others (it'll hitch). So instead of trying to force a long smooth movement into your arm going in a unfamiliar direction, just rotate the damn page.

I came to this realization when I started reading stories about how famous inkers would go batshit crazy if they couldn't physically rotate the page they were working on.

Bored. I didn't know what to paint. Wanted to paint an ogre but didn't want to do all the cliche shit. So I painted this. I don't understand. I love you Adventure Time, let's be friends forever. #UnnecessaryOgre

Doodly doodly gook. Fshook. Badook. Man, I am really into drawing weird noses lately. I did this while mostly listening to Les Baxter's "Space Escapade" album, which just sounds like all the amazing weird "WOOORLD OF TOMORROW" type music you would hear back in the 50's.
