Had some minor issues over the week and the blog was collapsing in on itself creating a terrifying internet black hole, but everything's all good now. Just got back from an amazing GDC and I'm revitalized again to start cranking out on some audio/visual game ideas.

Here's my finished bit for the Ars Goetia 72 Demons project. If there's demons to be done I'm there!
Special thanks to Mr. Vinod Rams for some great feedback during the final part.

Here's something I'm doing for the Ars Goetia 72 Demons project. My assigned demon is Count Raum- a demon lord that takes the form of a crow which steals treasures from kings, can destroy cities and dignities of men, tell the past present and future, and reconcile friends and foes or lovers.

Retro Art Show

I recently did a piece for the Retro Art Show tribute up at the Piranha shop in Seattle. I decided to go with  Ghosts'n Goblins and Gargoyle's Quest/Demon's Crest, since they both actually share the same Capcom universe and were both staples in early feeble gaming years and . Back when 16-bits was enough and you'd STILL have change leftover for a soda and a hot dog gad-nabbit. First time I ever tried printing something on canvas, I think it came out alright.

Rakinos Design & Handy

Tried to finish this before Halloween but got sidetracked by many things. I wanted to take a stab at making
something more flashy.

In other news, I just submitted my first app to the iTunes store called Handy. Currently waiting on it to get approved. What is Handy? Well, for the longest longest time I've been wanting something like PoseManiac's Hands for Drawing (Warning: digital dong will greet you)  to be available on my phone so I could be more inclined to use hand reference (using a mirror can sometimes be a nag). I even emailed the PoseManiac guy several times about getting something started, but no luck.

So I went and made my own with the powers of Unity and the amazing Alex Hogan who generally knows what the hell he's doing more than I do. We took it a step further and made it so you can even adjust the lighting and field of view. Pretty simple project, but still fun to work on to figure out a lot of the kinks. I'll post more when it's finally approved.

Recently grabbed RockSmith for PS3 and all my drawing/painting productivity has nosedived. It's a pretty decent shot at bringing some form of entertainment to practicing guitar. And while it's far from perfect (game has some serious UI flow issues, as well as clunky load/save times) it's definitely a good first step in the right direction. I'm pretty terrible at guitar, so anything that gets me excited to practice it 2-3 hours everyday is a pretty satisfying purchase. Also being able to actually play Muse's 'Unnatural Selection' is a pretty big rush.
